    Wait, Lime didn’t know Mio’s identity? …Huh. I guess that’s why he seems to respect Tomoe a whole lot more in particular.
    So if I have this right, Mio is just planning to put Hibiki in the same position Grount was in a while back? Quite a forceful negotiation, but I’m excited to see what comes of this.

    1. I was also a bit surprised by Lime not knowing. Then again, most of Asora inhabitants probably don’t know either, since those few who do, don’t really bring it up.
      Not that they would really care one way or another, since I imagine their small communities would have been unlikely to ever encounter Mio in her previous state. It should have been primarily Hyumans and Demons who were affected by her.
      Lime not knowing might however be a good thing. Tomoe being a Superior Dragon was already hard to swallow for him, and dragons likely don’t have a bad reputation in general. But a Calamity like Mio who is only known for terrible acts of destruction, that’s a different story.
      Will be interesting if he learns the truth soon. Especially since he has to spend many more days in close proximity to Mio. Though he did have a chance to interact with her without the bias of knowing her past, so that might soften the blow.

    Shiki: Pro: try to have a neutral point of view and avoid emotions.

    1. He’s quite low-level employee I think. Now that I think of it, he probably does not have Asora’s highway access too so the store employee probably have higher standing. Its just that he’s Tomoe’s direct subordinate so he got some high-level information need to be disclosed as exception.

    2. Let’s see… Lime is direct subordinate of Tomoe is fact, and… he is really close to Mondo who is Forest Oni. Remember that FO is Shen “believer”, so i think it’s save that even Tomoe didn’t tell him directly what she is, he’s gonna get the information of Tomoe being the Invicible from FO.
      For Mio, remember even the first generation of race of Asora that being invited by Tomoe, and Mio (Highland Orc, Elder Dwarfs, Mist Lizard except Arke) being giving false information of Mio.   80. Let me guess. Next chapter will be half Misumi with the girl Prince and the other half will either be Hibiki finding out what Chiya saw or Misumi going to do the errand with Hibiki. The following chapter will definitely be the errand. And I think Misumi will finally see something that I believe all readers have noticed so far, Hibiki has had her thought process change so that she favors the Goddess. As smart as she is it doesn’t make sense that she doesn’t see how biased and fucked up hyuman society is because of her. In her position I doubt I’d act the same as her.

At the beginning of the series Hibiki was portrayed as an extremely smart person but even though she is showing her intelligence it still feels as if she’s being manipulated somehow by the Goddess. Any human, note not hyuman, would find the current situation between the races extremely odd and yet Hibiki simply takes it at face value. It just doesn’t make much sense to me.
        The other hero not doing so is normal since he is just a random dumb ass but Hibiki feels as if she’s only doing what the hyumans want. I mean think about, yes there’s war but she never even considered about WHY there’s a war. Even if we take the fact that she’s from our world where the demon king is typically the bad guy but it is almost as if Hibiki ignores the concept of reasonable doubt which is the foundation of pretty much all modern law systems including Japan.
        So yeah, in my opinion Hibiki is somehow being led into a route where the only solution is genocide…

    1. She sees the true form of others. Disguised demons appeared as their true form to her. Hibiki is seen as a “truly kind” person, which she is despite how scheming and manipulative she is(of course there probably is a level of bias here since she isn’t trying to be manipulative towards her team mates). Mio’s true form is the calamity spider. And Makoto since he isn’t disguised, probably appears as if he isn’t masking his presence and isn’t drained of mana constantly. (Probably an army of demon kings level of magic towering over you)

      So, maybe her ability will see what is the person trying to hide as well.
      From the initial response, either chiki couldnt see makoto at all when he was alighting the carriage, or she expected to see something massive because of him being Mio’s master.
      But what scare her is the distortion of the whole area ard her due to his maryoku.

I dunno if the Author is not good at it or intentional since, Author-san practically loves to skip the fine details of the heavy talks. Although like I said, if it’s with Makoto against another party it’s probably more headache inducing than reading Mahouka’s spell/device construction. Anyway I digress.

      2. Skipping is stupid at this point of the story. It is as if you haven’t read the previous chapter about Tomoe’s wishes and Shiki’s desires.
        The visit to Limia is to let Makoto unconsciously become aware of the Hyuman discrimination and deal with it. Mio’s desire is to make Hibiki know that Makoto is nobody she should treat carelessly or understand, she is not on the same stage as him.
        All these chapters are toward the growth of Makoto’s character. To skip it to get right to the action would curb the evolving nature of the character and make him fairly simple and to be frank… Boring. The personality of the characters in this novel is what is attracting, not their abilities.
        So the segment in its current state focus on Hyuman discrimination and potential eye opening events for Makoto.

        Well it is as you’ve said. And it’s not like I didn’t have such thoughts before. But there’s been a lot of unmentioned important talks like foreshadowing background events even before he started teaching at Rotsgard which led me to believe that it’s all thrown out to the SS and POVs instead of the main story, for us to read separately. Take note that most of the serious talks only happen when Makoto is off-screen.
        Also, it seems his next audience is with the Cross-dressing-Prince, Joshua. As for Hibiki, it will not happen until they set off for the lake.

What Chihaya saw on Mio is obviously her true nature as the black calamityy , but for Makoto knowing his true nature it would most likely him holding Azusa in his beautiful stance form while his magical armor is embracing him together with various races of Asora living in abundant harmonious life as he gives of a gentle warm aura that makes you feel safer by staying at his side however only his eyes were telling different as he give a cold pitch black gaze at Chiya showing no emotion as if he was only recognizing her not as a being but a mere thing.. Drawn by those very eyes she delve deeper within there she saw destruction upon his path and different forms of gruesome death she will experience in the nearby future ( ofcourse that OVEN makoto is one of them ). Hence she screamed unable to keep her sanity after seeing such vision

      The scenary also start to changed to that of asora with increasing no unknown species of demi human n mamonos appearing to the point that looks as thou is her vs the world.

  121. then next chapter Chiya, suffered a trauma after a huge shock . She lost her memory, suffered an incurable blindness and started to workship a Goddess named Matoko Raido (whoop i meant God) with spiders being divine animal.
    Her new religion spread fast in both Hyuman’s, Demon’s and Monster’s lands and ultimately replaced Goddess religion. Matoko became new god as the world stopped fighting since both sides workshipped same god.
    Saint Mio saved the world from wars by showed Blind Holy Pope Chiya with Holiness light of God Matoko.

The info will pretty much only become something like dessert or finisher.

He has explicitly stated that he has no intention of taking sides in the war, and when the topic shifted to the goddess, Hibiki sensed that he held animosity towards her. So basically, she intends to eventually kill him because he’s uncontrollable and can shake up the status que of Limia ruling the world in the name of the goddess after the war is over.

    1. Blame Tomoe for that. She mostly doesn’t tell Makoto everything. She controls what and what is not to tell Makoto under the excuse of protection.
      And about the eye part, I think Tomoe said sth like “it’s good for Waka to see it in person.” or the like. I can’t remember.

      1. Yeah, I’ve come to sort of dislike Tomoe as the schemes pile up. She’s basically the main cause of Makoto’s stunted growth in character. She says its for protection, but it comes off as for her own convenience (as Mio stated before) to entertain herself, making Makoto look lame in the process.
        Given the conversation the followers are having, I think the author realized this was the wrong route to take at this point in the story and seems to be trying to clean it up and move forward with this arc.
        Mio’s scheme will probably go horribly wrong, and cause Makoto to realize he needs to take control and get more involved or things like this will keep happening, while Tomoe will also change her ways (based on whats she said in 204).
        I could be wrong though, nothing could change at all or it might only be slightly different.

        1. Rather than the author making this a change of course, my feeling was always sorta “just as planned”.
          With this scene, we get to see Tomoe with insecurities we usually don’t and she’s dealing with an uncertainty she’s not comfortable with(as opposed to the kind that made her want to follow Makoto).

Yeah, look at how the incident with the adventures in Asora is coming to ligth rigth now, pilling up all his interactions with hyumans making him the way he is now, do you think that the fact that he “discriminate” against hyumans is the reason he felt so strongly the feelings of the 4th paralell dimension in his sleep???     They saved you and your party, they gave you a top tier weapon, they repaired afterward too, makoto saved your king , and even after all of that you said he is only a guest?
    I wanna see how hibiki will get rekt, for sure, she is too much engrossed in her hero part, to notice there are always people you better don’t make fun of them…..
    Why I think when hibiki goes with makoto she will do something very stupid? Like attack him or something like that? Ofc makoto trash her for good and let it go his mindset towards her…..

      1. About the purple cloud incident, she might only think of it as “Lime’s” great accomplishment and nothing more. Just because Makoto is his boss, doesn’t mean he’s strong too. Either way, although she’s in Limia Kingdom aka her base, she might think Mio won’t kill her, but doesn’t change the fact that Mio and Lime (also Makoto) are strong, so yeah, Hibiki is stupid, hella stupid.

      Mio= bodygard of a small merchant
      if you ask me, here it was Mio who acted arrogantly. she stormed through the room without knocking, and when hibiki was shocked: “shut the fuck up, you own me something”.

      1. It might have been rude of Mio to just barge into the room but it’s also really petty of Hibiki to complain about it. Both Mio and Lime have helped her a lot on an individual level and she should be very grateful for that. Instead she acts like a self-important, spoiled brat.
        And while it’s true that Makoto is “a small merchant” he is also much more than that. There is a reason for all the invitations from multiple nations. Kuzunoha basically saved the lives of Limia’s King and “prince” Joshua as well as the inhabitants of Rotsgard. Compared to the size of the accomplishments of Limia’s hero they have done much more. They are recognized as a powerful force that needs to be treated with a certain amount of care and Hibiki is playing a dangerous game when she takes a confrontational stance towards their (herself and Limia) benefactors.

            she isn’t satifified with the current situation and will want to change it.
            that’s why she acted rather agressive
            I think she want hibiki and makoto to be alone because it will end:
            -hibiki acknowledgmokoto’s and kuzunoha and stop bother them
            -hibiki will take an offensive stance against kuzunoha and thus makoto will be forced to quit his passive stance
            -hibiki will try to seduce makoto and thus giving a green light for Mio to ‘clean’ the mess
