Chapter 235: Dinner and reports

The length of the chapters has decreased quite a bit…
I think I will be able to increase the rate of chapters released. I will follow the same schedule, but expect more multiple releases. (Not this time though, maybe the next one :P).

Makoto here.

After explaining the situation, it resulted in two women scattering sparks in Asora.

Shiki and the new addition Tamaki had already stepped back and declared their standing, so that part is fine, but…

No, because of that, it turned into a one-on-one fight.

Both of them should have their own jobs to do, and yet, I can tell that their priority right now has become Lorel.

To the point that I could read it in their eyes.

I thought that today would be okay though.

Before all this happened…

We didn’t have any plans with anyone at dinner, so we ate dinner with everyone at Asora, and well, we were able to have a peaceful dinner with Tomoe and Mio in our last meal of the day.

Ah, today was tofu.

It was delicious.

Cold tofu is a template in those kind of meals, but there was also agedashi tofu and tempura.

That white thing does well even in boiled food.

“Okay, then that’s fine!” (Tomoe)

“Yeah, I don’t have any complains!!” (Mio)

But after the dinner…

I deny the voices from entering into my ears, and while holding my tea in one hand, I endeavour to look at a part of the landscape while some sort of fierce battle began.

Eh?

Since things had begun breaking, I thought they would already change the stage to the outside but…

“Ah~, and so?” (Makoto)

I ask the two that are approaching to where I am in an excited state.

Shiki, Tamaki, and Ema and the others have already been sent to another room to take refuge. There’s only us three in this hall.

“It has been decided that fighting is unnecessary.” (Tomoe)

“Heh~.”

That was Tomoe.

“Since the beginning, this wasn’t something to fight for.” (Mio)

“Please notice that before we had to evacuate everyone.” (Makoto)

Mio also said this as she cooled down.

“We noticed that there’s absolutely no problems if we both go.” (Tomoe)

“Bringing us both would be the best option-desu wa!” (Mio)

Ooh.

Because of the matter with Koran, Tomoe is in a situation where she will be on a leave from town for a while, and the part of the store Mio is involved with is prospering.

That store has a lot of things that were made with the concept of Japanese-style food, so it is still at a phase where I still want Mio to look after the store.

Because Mio and I are the ones that know the most about the seasoning and way of making it after all.

The people that are working at that store are still in the stage where they are still following after Mio.

I also thought about just going by myself, but this is about me, going alone to a country gave the feeling that something would definitely happen, so I dismissed that idea.

In the end, it is settled that I will be going to Lorel, but after dinner, I began the talk that I wanted one person to accompany me.

…Ah, now that I think about it, it would have been better to evacuate Ema and the others and leave only the followers beforehand.

Or just nominate Shiki?

Not that long ago, I was told that I favour Shiki too much though…

“…You two, if both of you were to leave, the company and the town will receive quite the burden, you know?” (Makoto)

“Shiki will work hard.” (Tomoe)

You say that pretty easily, Tomoe.

I am sure he will take on the job, but Shiki also has a limit in his 24 hours.

“Yes. If there’s the need to, we can just use Tamaki and Sari, that way, there won’t be any problems for a while, Waka-sama.” (Mio)

“Tamaki is a no. I have something planned for her, and at present, I will only make her do jobs related to Asora. She still has to manage that big shrine, so I don’t want to be lax about it.” (Makoto)

Mio also easily brought out the two people that I have a policy of not letting out of Asora.

“Regarding me, I will be reporting at a later time, but honestly, I have already understood the actual state of affairs of Koran by today, so I think there’s no need to waste time there. If this were a leave of several months, it is certainly true that it would cause several inconveniences, but isn’t this a business trip? With the Winged-kin radar that serves to search for enemies from high altitudes, and the network of Forest Onis that can seek for the cooperation of villages in the areas, there should be no problems.” (Tomoe)

“That’s right. Tsige is not in such a strained state where Tomoe-san and I have to participate regularly in it-desu wa. If something happens, we can return immediately. A dungeon may be unappealing, but looking at the ingredients and cooking of a foreign country will become an irreplaceable experience. Especially Lorel where the vestiges of Waka-sama’s fellow countrymen remain. Just what kind of form has the Japanese food taken in the region and how much it has been raised. I am really interested!” (Mio)

At this rate, before we move to the report meeting, we will end up in an unnecessary fight just like the two said, and then there’s the possibility of everyone getting tired by it.

The persuasion of the two wasn’t a simple ‘I don’t care about the town’, but something more concrete by understanding the situation of it.

Even if an unexpected situation occurs in the dungeon, I can’t imagine a situation where we three are unable to make a recovery in a few days.

The only thing there is a simple Superior Dragon after all.

“Mio, is the store okay? Isn’t it difficult to operate the store with only the girls there?” (Makoto)

“I was planning on doing something next week. For that reason, I trained them quite a bit, so they are currently slightly better than what Waka-sama thinks they are-desu wa~.” (Mio)

That’s the first I have heard of it.

However, that Mio said she trained them ‘quite’ a bit and they got ‘slightly’ better.

She is super spartan.

I hope the amount of cooks in Asora won’t decrease.

I should ask the people that are at the store about the actual circumstances.

Because I don’t think I will be able to hear anything accurate from the manager in front of me.

There has been a previous experience where Mio said that she had a ‘bit’ of an idea and proceeded to seclude herself in the kitchen for two weeks making dashi.

“Plan, you say?” (Makoto)

“This is only limited to the early morning and at noon, but I was thinking about making a menu for take out.” (Mio)

“Take out meals… Sounds like a *bento*.” (Makoto) <boxed lunches>

“Yes, it is exactly that. The name is Bento fair.” (Mio)

“I think it is an interesting idea but, why?” (Makoto)

“The congestion at noon is specially terrible, so I thought of it as one of the methods to soften it. We have also gotten the permission from the town to place tables and seats at the front of the store when it is lunch, but as expected, it would be easier to just increase the people that buy and eat somewhere else. That way, I think the situation would get slightly better.” (Mio)

“There’s a limit to how many tables we can place inside the store after all. Also, take out huh. I see.” (Makoto)

“I was thinking about reporting this later, but I have done it now. I will bring the detailed documents later. It seems like we will be able to sample the menu in our journey-desu wa ne. Ufufufu.” (Mio)

It is certainly true that there’s few take out meals that have rice and side dishes present in Tsige.

If we are talking about taking out, it would be mostly fast food after all.

There will be people who will be able to learn about the taste of our store, and I can expect quite a variety of synergizing effects from this proposal.

But…

Thinking about how that publicity-like method might have a good effect, I don’t think the use of bentos will decrease the amount of congestion.

The customers who are aiming to buy bentos will increase, and the customers who think that it was delicious will come to the store again to have meals there.

In terms of result, it will be good for the sales, but regarding the congestions, I think it will turn into a vicious cycle.

No well, I will just keep silent about it.

If there’s the need to, I can ask the neighboring store via the Guild to please move from there -with good conditions, of course- and expand the food store of Mio.

At present, there’s no problem if we simply increase the space of the store at lunch time…probably.

Eating the sample food of the bento made by Mio and her disciples at Lorel huh.

Aside from going to the dungeon, it might actually be unexpectedly fun.

“There’s no need for you to go regularly to Koran, right Tomoe?” (Makoto)

“Of course. I think I will be able to give a good report regarding that town.” (Tomoe)

“I see…” (Makoto)

Currently, Shiki is quite busy with the Academy town and Tsige.

Tamaki has the management of the shrines, and she is getting acquainted with the inside work of Asora alongside the residents. I don’t really want to let her out.

Regarding Sari…well, depending on the situation, I think it is fine to loosen a bit, but for now, she has the work in Asora filling her hands.

Then that’s fine huh.

Tomoe and Mio had finished giving their opinions, and were watching my state.

“Understood. Let’s go to Lorel, both of you. Forest Onis and one Eldwarf…if there’s anyone that you two want to bring as well, can you please choose them?” (Makoto)

“Yes! We are finally able to go to Lorel, right?!” (Tomoe)

“Understood. There’s one Arke that’s soon able to move outside. Also, about the bento…” (Mio)

“Ah~ wait wait. We will be having a report meeting, so let’s group up with Shiki and Tamaki, also Tomoe will give me the details about Koran, and…Mio, tell me the line-up of the bentos and the information of the employees you will be using while we are away. I have lessons tomorrow, so I have to hear all of it today.” (Makoto)

“Right. Understood. Then let’s do the meeting in the room where Shiki and Tamaki are then.” (Tomoe)

“Yes, Waka-sama.” (Mio)

Accompanied by the two who are in a good mood, we move to the room where I had Shiki and Tamaki go to.

I thought they would be doing some complicated talk there, but they were just silently turning documents and checking them.

The two of them have quite a big amount of subordinates, so the number of reports is large as well.

When the talk of Lorel comes out, the burden they will take will most likely increase in a lot of meanings.

I am truly sorry.

“Shiki, Tamaki, sorry for the wait.” (Makoto)

“Don’t worry. It was a lot faster than I thought it would take.” (Shiki)

“Yeah. The both of them didn’t seem like they would be taking it outside. Who gave up first?” (Tamaki)

“Both-ja, Tamaki.” (Tomoe)

“Too bad your expectations didn’t hit the mark huh.” (Mio)

“Ara.” (Tamaki)

“This time, I have decided to bring both of them to Lorel. The work in Asora will be handled by Tamaki, and the work of Shiki in Tsige will increase, but…please adjust to it. I will hear about any suggestions and requests to the best of my abilities.” (Makoto)

“The two, is it. Understood. Waka-sama, what do you intend to do about the lessons in Rotsgard?” (Shiki)

It seems like Shiki already expected this. He easily responded.

“The lessons will continue as scheduled. Even if we are going to be travelling far, we can teleport, so both can stand together. Tsige is currently in a lull state, so if we are able to find the people that can become the core of its defense, it would be advantageous.” (Makoto)

In terms of constancy, employing mercenaries can become a big burden to us, the town, and the mercenary group depending on the circumstances.

If possible, it would be great if they were to teach the ins and outs of defense to Tsige, and after surpassing the big mountain called independence, it would be possible to terminate the contract.

“That’s true. Being busy is the usual for us anyways, so it is to the point that lately there hasn’t been enough work. Hahaha.” (Shiki)

Shiki laughed and agreed.

“Having Kuzunoha company continuously helping out Tsige as a whole will only be disadvantageous if we think about the future. I think it is a good idea. Sari is dependable, and I don’t mind at all that the work in Asora will increase, Makoto-sama.” (Tamaki)

“Thanks. That helps me out a lot.” (Makoto)

“Well then, it has been decided that Tomoe-dono and Mio-dono will be accompanying Waka-sama to Lorel. Waka-sama, there’s no problem if we begin the report meeting now, right?” (Shiki)

“Yeah. Tomoe will tell me about Koran; Mio will tell me about Tsige’s state and your plan with the food store; Shiki about the Academy town and the surroundings of the Merchant Guild; Tamaki about Asora in its entirety.”

“Okay.”

My four followers speak out their acknowledgment.

The meeting of Kuzunoha company, we were somehow able to safely begin it.

      1. Because she is the first true resident in Asora who has malicious intent. But why he takes that as a reason is beyond me… usually you want people with malicious intent out of your home, not in the room adjacent to your bedroom. ~.~

And the worst, I think, is that we don’t even know why she harbours that malicious intent… a POV chapter would really be quite nice right about now.

      2. he feels like there’s some darkness or some malicious intent from the inside of tamaki, that’s why he is really didn’t want to let loose something he didn’t completely understand

      3. same reason he’s involved with tsige’s revolution/studying under Rembrandt, he’s starting to see people’s “evil” and he see’s Tamaki as someone with a fair amount of it. the main reason he even added Tamaki as a follower was to bind her from doing any disadvantageous movements towards himself and his people due to the effects of the master-slave contract.
also, he might be thinking that with Tamaki’s long servitude to multiple gods she may or may not have some connecting to the Bug or any additional effects she might have in the open world.

      4. If I’m not sure if I’m right but she is a sort spirit or helper of those who control yokai in makoto world. Omyou or something. Base one what I found in the name that links to another anime though I could be completely wrong about it.

Second is that he sense something strange about her. Like she have a goal of sort. That’s why he formed a pact with her to limit detriment action against him. Even though he have control over her she still can do things behind the scene like tomoe and mio. They do still have freedom to do things on their own and they can simply not let him know what they did or their intent.

Though all of these reason is base on a feeling she gives off as evil.

      5. I actually don’t quite understand either.
but Tamaki has this malicious intent in her. that Makoto didn’t what to expose “it” to the world outside.
But why he didn’t want to expose it is what I don’t understand.

      6. @n00by_ME more likely the gods given her to him and its hard to deny gifts from benevolent gods . He also need someone who could ease the burden to his followers and rasie their chances of survival when the goddess attack.

      7. Because Tamaki has connection with ******* and because she possessed the malicious Intent of that of ******** Makoto Fells that she might wreck Havoc because Makoto Thinks she is *******

      1. Don’t worry about translation drought.
I’ll make sure Reigokai continues his job by translating those … ‘questionable’ JAP novels.

        Hehehe…
*honest smile. Definitely not evil grin*

    1. Not the author. Reigokai is…

The darn author is on hiatus, again, and I couldn’t find him. When I do find him though, I’ll put his brain in a machine and set it to maximum output.

  1. Yes.. yes.. I was expecting this.. My informer was right..

    *snickers*

Thank you Reigokai. Good job as always…
    Now, as we promised.

*hands over pictures of Reigokai’s most embarassing pose*

Your secret is safe.. for now. I hope for faster translation next time… 37 more to go. Ehehehe…

    *evil grin*

      1. Well, my ‘informer’ isn’t here. He’s … busy with other attachment; I gave him another ‘task’.
I’m late? No.. Posting late here is only on the surface. Down below, I’m always here. I never truly leave.
        Ehehehe..

        *evil grin*

      2. No no no
        You’re always welcome here.
I see good prospect in you.
Why don’t we talk about it over tea?
        Here some cookies.

        Ehehehe…
        *rubbing hands*
        *evil grin*

        1. I was educated to avoid suspicious Ojii-san who gives cookies…so I will politely decline the offer here….*turns away and run*

  2. The chapter length decreased huh? So that means more chapters per week till we catch up to the raws?

Oh and thanks for the 3rd chapter this week!!😁😁😁

  3. The conclusion in the battle of the wives was obvious.

    Harem end!
    Greedy “Both” option!
Leave the dirty work to Shiki!

….Yep. As expected. Though you’d think the more sensible option would be for Makoto to just decide to make multiple trips when he’s free.

By the way….Makoto…Why….What exactly does he think a Superior Dragon is? Has Root dragged their name through the mud that much?

    1. To Makoto, Superior Dragons are like little animals; they are weak and can get pretty annoying sometimes, but still better than a certain bug. He doesn’t need to worry because he’s “fought” them before and they generally treat him with at least some respect.

    2. I don’t think that question even needs an answer. It is root e are talking about, and soon he will do things which are even more strange, given what It is in the story.

Plus, remember, our dear Makoto has beaten someone on the demi-god level. A mere superior dragon, which can’t even compare to a demi-god, isn’t going to be much to him. Think of it like this: Makoto thinks those superior dragons are nothing more than “Army Ants” protecting the “Worker Ants” in the colony, and goody, there are only 7.

      1. Totally. All the tutorials of Makoto: Walking 2-3 days in a desert for the movement, the two headed dog for combat, learning high level magic from the High Orcs for magic, learning craft from the Elder Dwarf for crafting, alchemy from the arknes for alchemy and a dragon and a calamity are just tutorial mini-bosses.

Btw, redcolonel, I was right about Hibiki: https://isekailunatic.com/2017/02/01/chapter-198-gossip-hibiki-and-lime/comment-page-2/#comment-37365

        1. wtf? I wrote a fucking book! what was I thinking?

back to topic, I didn’t see the last com.
at that time I though fanatics only involved religion.

well, yes you were right about her being crazy.
after the talk with makoto in limia, we saw that she is very authoritarian she has a twisted view of democracy: the number is absolute and the minority must bend to the wish of majority, no matter how absurd it is.
and a twisted view of pacifism where slave fighting for their freedom is wrong because fight is wrong (but hypocritically back up a revolution in her own country)

tho the part for makoto’s hostility is a bit more complex than “evil because he oppose the goddess”:
-Chiya who can “see the truth”, saw makoto as far more terrifying as the ‘calamity spider’ that caused destruction around the world since thousands years
-she asserted that he had no aversion for killings, if he had a reason, he will coldly kill thousands without hesitation or feeling of guilt.
          – Waterfall whose existance is very important for limia was shitless scared of him and said if he fight the goddess, it will most likely result in the destruction of the world.
-she asserted that makoto indeed intended to fight the goddess, and that he had no plan to damage controle it, if he kick out the goddess, he will leave the world burn in chaos as he hide in security in the mist village.

A few reasons to be very concerned about makoto.
Even shiva, knowing makoto, still concerned and try to help him to not follow th ‘military path’ to avoid that. Shiva even considered having to destroy this world after Makoto and goddess clash

PS: I still don’t remember that earlier chapter where hibiki talk about justice. and I don’t think it was that abious at this point of time.
PPS:that’s some incredible memories (grudge?) you have here!
PPPS: I wanted to make it short and look at that. how do I always end up like this?

      2. There was not a direct talk about justice and the like, but could read it between the lines, by how she acted, by the fact she thought eliminating Makoto directly after encountering him (for narrow-minded reason), by the fact that even she is said against the slavery of the demi-humans, we never heard her doing something for that, we not even heard her interacting with them even though she was trying to change a whole political system (and from this we could understand that she wasn’t really against that, just that she didn’t like it but found it normal nonetheless), … from all that we could see that she was extremely narrow-sighted and that she removes anything on her path, and somebody like that is a fanatic, somebody that considers only his view as true and just.

As for the Goddess, you can also read it between the lines: she never considers that the Goddess is the cause of all the problems or that there may be a less violent way to remove her. She consider the Goddess as a “Good guy”, that the Bug is the only person that could fill her placeb as the God. Though I agree that there is more against Makoto than simply that, even if there was none of the points that you cited, she would be against Makoto for removing the Bug

      3. Hibiki is chosen by bug so people would normally see her as evil or bad or there is something extremly wrong with her. This is similar to when a corrupt dictator appoint a person to a position. Regardless of what the person is people would assume he or she is also corrupt.

    1. But please be vauge about it! Nothing solid so we dont enjoy the chapter if you do decide to spoil something. Thanks.

  4. Thanks for the unexpected chapter, Reigokai-sama!~

Welp, what I suggested actually came true, just a question if he will act like a billionaire with flowers on both hands. Two dangerous flowers. *shrugs*

And they actually solved it peacefully for once. I’m impressed.

Since Tomoe killed Darkness Clad, I wonder if him meeting her again will bring up some trauma with Darkness Clad not knowing why?

And I wonder if Mio’s ‘spider radar’ is effective in a labyrinth?

  5. Bentou banzai! Another wonderful invention in food culture.

Mio…really is the passionate genius type, huh? If it weren’t for the fact that her focus was on food, she’d be willing to starve herself to research her interests nonstop.

………That brings up an interesting point, actually.

Makoto with his bow and-according to the extra chapters-various other things. Tomoe with her Edo knowledge. Shiki with his typical mad scientist research. Every person in Makoto’s close circles has an “obsession” that they’re willing to devote their very lives to. I wonder if that’s meaningful in any way?

  6. Thanks for the chapt.. Wow is this the second time (or first time?) makoto traveling with both mio and tomoe huh… This ultra rare event i think.

Thanks for the chapter reigokai sama…. I pliss slow down the translation work. Twice a week i think is enough when most translation project releasing their projects once a week. But if you have a spare time maybe u could help pun-sama translation project that is Pure love X Insult-Complex. That WN have a thousand chapter…

    1. Makoto has traveled together with the both of them before. A frontier town disappeared in a single night and only a hotel was left standing.

But I’m sure Lorel will be fine. Everyone in the group has matured since then and it’s not like an entire country can be turned to dust in an instant.

      1. …with Makoto, the guy who literally ripped apart the dimensional barrier to beat up a demigod of dimensions till it reverted back to the door it started it’s life as, there, I’m more than certain an entire country can be turned to dust in an instant.

  7. “The only thing there is a simple Superior Dragon after all.”

Great Chaos, he is bound and determined to drive that flag as deep as possible, isn’t he? 😰

  9. Thanks 4 the chapter!

Superior dragons are not much of a threat to someone who could take Root’s full might.

      1. Really?
        *grabs sawn-off shotgun*
You’re threatening me? Me of all people who tried to stop Spoiler-san in the past (mainly for personal reasons)? I dare you to try.

    1. Spoiler-san is dead.
… sort of, kinda like a dead man to me.

So… I’ll take on his position then.
      *puts on business smile*

You see, my dependable ‘informers’ told me that ‘something’ will happen at Tsige while Makoto and co. goes to Lorel.
      Ehehehe…

      1. Yeah.. yeah. What Mario said.
Spoiler-san not dead, but he’s like a dead man now. Also, I didn’t kill Truck-kun. You guys did. I saw some post where Zombie, Dickysatria and some other dude burn him to death.

        … poor guy.

      2. We didn’t burn him. I simply toss a brick at his window to prove he’s just hurt. I think truck simply in enraged mode.

      3. You know the way you keep pinning his disappearance and calling yourself secret agent… I figure it out you’re truck!

      4. Ah… Criminal psychology 101.
“The criminal(s) will deny that he/she did the crime, or that he/she is involved in any way to escape being convicted.”
“…..escapism sometimes occur when they deny knowledge of the crime itself, or that it never happened in their knowledge.”

I know what you did because I deal with information.

Mr. Zombie, you shouldn’t have use such escapism and denial. The jury won’t take it. Just an advice, you better hire a good lawyer and plead. You can use your.. ‘disability’ to evade harsh sentence. Use your zombiefied physic, I mean. Those eyeballs that came off and creaking bones might be useful now. You can also plead with ‘mental illness’ as an excuse. Just act like a zombie in film and say “…braaains..” in the court.

I’m not so sure if Dickysatria can evade harsh sentence as those methods are exclusive to your … condition. Dickysatria, if you’re reading this, call me. I might be able to help, with a suitable price of course.

      5. It’s good then. You live in Doraem*n’s pocket.
Also, please see my post below. I got some good info

      6. Logical fallacy since innocent people would also deny any involvement with crime if it would lead to punishment. Also catch 22 since denying being a criminal makes you a criminal AND admitting it also makes you the criminal.

  10. Thanks for the chapter!

I wonder how feasible it would be to make a deal with other eateries around town to sell bentos. That could alleviate crowding in front of Kuzonoha.

  11. Splendid. Didn’t expect a chapter today after the double chapter yesterday. Thanks!

Makoto can bring all his followers if he want to, there was never a limit to how many he can bring in the first place. But since they also works as his proxy when he is absent, he only brings one of them at a time, rarely 2 at once like Limia.

Good thinking for Mio and Tomoe for ‘training’ their subordinates well, so they can leave their post anytime they want to accompany Makoto.

  12. Thanks for the pleasent surprise there Reokai-sama. It hurts that the chapters are guetting shorter but at least we will have more releases. Nothing mutch to comment on the chapter lets just wait and see how things go in Lorel. Since Regokai-sensei is picking up speed in his translations deos it means that he alredy targeted the new series that will be working on???

  13. Thanks Reigokai. They are getting ready to go to Lorel, once they get there and get settled. That’s when I think the chapter size should go back to normal (at-least hope so). If not then 40 chapters will go by so fast. Hopefully with all the anime news going around, one of them soon might be the author of this novel starting writing again.

  14. “Even if an unexpected situation occurs in the dungeon, I can’t imagine a situation where we three are unable to make a recovery in a few days.

The only thing there is a simple Superior Dragon after all.”

CS-chan hold on, stay with me, don’t go to the light!
    Someone bring a defribillator!

  15. thanks for the chapter

    “Or just nominate Shiki?”
    please, leave belgium alone

“The only thing there is a simple Superior Dragon after all.”
    I think that’s a flag, sir.

    1. No no no no.
      The flag is here:
      “Picnic Rose Garden?”

      Picnic Rose Garden my ass.
It’s obviously a trap, aaaand Makoto went for it.

  16. Id really like Makoto to tell Rembrandt about Asora and about who he really is. Rembrandt should feel some relief knowing hes backed by all that. It would definitely improve their friendship.

  17. I got some info regarding that TsukiMichi browser game.
The seiyuu for that game will be:

“Tomoe > Kawasumi Ayako (Mana Khemia 2 – Ulrika, Fate – Saber)
Mio > Akesaka Satomi (Atelier Meruru – Meruru, Disgaea 5 – Usaria)
Ema > Honda Mariko (Atelier Escha – Lucile, Neptune VII – Uzume)
Toa > Miyake Marie (Idolmaster – Abe Nana)”

    Credit to Asuka (nin nin)

    1. Tomoe and Saber will have the same voice. That’s interesting.
I’m not familiar about Ema’s seiyuu. Gotta ask Google sensei.

… forgot to mentio that the OP song is by Kotoko. Yes, THAT Kotoko.

  18. Reigokai I’m confused. so which chapter do I use to count the days to the next chapter ? the latest chapter or do I go buy the old timetable and expect a double release on that

    1. Okay.. let’s see..
I think that the next chapter will come out Saturday. If short chapter, maybe double release. Or.. Reigokai will release one per day, from Friday until Sunday (sponsored). 3 chap. total.

      I think.
I might be wrong, but now you wish that I’m right.

*please don’t tell this to the F5 sect*

    2. Next chapter is tomorrow between 10 – 12 in est time or if your not in the state and is a day ahead Saturday.

  19. Thanks for the chapter. I hope there will be Tamaki-specific story (after pact), because what’s the point of introducing new servant if she barely appeal in the story… Poor Tamaki…

    1. it should come up as a POV. all the 3 servant had a few. a lot of thing seem to happen in asora even without makoto around.

    2. Or maybe a side story? 🤔

Soo.. a little bird told me that Tamaki have a trump card up her sleeve that she would use against Makoto. Maybe that is why Makoto feels malice coming from her.

  20. Thanks for the chapter!
Quick question, so does the novel officially end in 37 chapters or is the actual author going on hiatus? I just don’t think that the way the story is going that it could end in only another 37 chapters. In fact I would be disappointed if this is the case. Can someone clarify for me? This is one of my favorite novels right now and I would hate for it to end so early

  21. i don’t understand the layout of this labyrinth it ain’t a cave, but it has at least 20 floors? so it isn’t a dungeon… maybe a mountain? if that’s the case how does that even work?

    1. Well typically, dungeons and labyrinths are either massive tower-type structures or underground mazes.

Since they mentioned the “Shield is deep underground”, my assumption was that floors referred to subterranean floors. B1, B2, B3, etc.
