Tsuki – Chapter 340: Learning about how big the fish that was let go actually was

Finally there will be a big move towards the independence of Tsige.

I was thinking about wrapping up the problematic matters that were left in the Academy first.

After a talk with Shiki, we have once again decided the direction of the classes, and the new students have a sense of unity if we leave out their family circumstances.

The only one who I can match their name with their face is Yunker-kun as of now.

I can just remember them as I go.

What’s left is my promise with Seiren-san, and the matter with Shima-san, but I will go with Seiren-san first.

I will be troubling Izumo for a while more, but we assisted him quite a bit on his wedding business, so I want him to endure for a bit.

Cause you know, he is really full of energy in a different sense from Daena.

He passes his school days as if saying he is enjoying life.

He is completely absorbed in magic construction as if it is the most natural thing, and he is now reading through a whole ton of books in the library about magic and architecture as of late.

If Seiren-san’s specialty was related to architecture magic, I could have asked him for help without worrying as much.

“Today will be my last day…I will be leaving the rest to you, Izumo. I am sorry, but please cooperate with her research for a bit.” (Makoto)

“Okay. You are unexpectedly weak at requests given to you upfront, Sensei.”

“But I still refused her this time around. There’s no way I would be able to come help out in the research constantly.” (Makoto)

“…But I was honestly surprised too. To think that you were so versed in aria language and magic power modification.” (Izumo)

“About that…to tell you the truth, it is simply a difference in my stance in the arias.” (Makoto)

“Difference in stance?” (Izumo)

“Yeah. I think you have somewhat noticed it when you created your motion aria. Arias aren’t something you memorize, but something that you understand their meaning and compose. It is that kind of way of thinking.” (Makoto)

“…”

“Even without understanding the meaning, as long as you put magic power in it, you can activate magic with your aria. However, with that, you would need perfect memorization of all the activations for the spells.” (Makoto)

“That’s common knowledge.” (Izumo)

“It seems so. But arias obviously have meaning. This is something I learned about in detail at the Academy regarding aria language, but there’s something called chants and there’s a variety of them. ‘Something something’ chant, and ‘something something’ chant.” (Makoto)

“Common, graph, noble, weird, and forka. You are lying, right, Sensei? You actually know that, right?” (Izumo)

…Of course, I knew.

I read the theses at the library when I learned Magic Armor… I normally left the choosing to Eva-san though.

But the one I am normally using is not any of those, and there wasn’t much point in me remembering them…probably.

Don’t look at me with a face that says ‘you don’t even know the basics of the basics?’.

“Well, I do know their existence. They are just terms I don’t use often, so I pushed them under the rug. Well, about that ‘chant’ thing, it isn’t that different from the language we normally use.” (Makoto)

“…No, it is completely different. It is true that I am ‘understanding the meaning’ a little bit lately through instinct though.” (Izumo)

“That, Izumo-kun. For example; the common language greetings, demi-humans have their own different ways of greeting depending on their mother tongue, right?” (Makoto)

“Well, yeah.” (Izumo)

“Even elves, dwarfs, the Blue Lizard-kuns, that orc, and even Kuro and Hatsuharu that beat you up the other day have their own greetings. In other words, the aria language is similar to that. Depending on what kind of magic power the individual possesses, the aria that matches them changes. The reason why it is different from common language is simply related to the magic power of the user.” (Makoto)

“…With that logic, the common chant would be the best one. I am kinda not convinced…” (Izumo)

The one most used in Rotsgard is the common chant.

There’s only a few select exemplar students who would touch upon the graph and noble chants.

Well, Izumo is one of those exemplar students.

That’s just how much students try to tiptoe their way out from the common chant.

Most of them would get weaker instead and return to common.

“In the cases of aria language, it would depend on who is using it. For people who have low affinity to magic power, and people who have low magic power, forming your spells with common chant would be best. Even graph and noble, you would need to have understanding in common chant or you wouldn’t be able to…oops, any further and it would turn into a topic that enters the research area of Seiren. I should stop.” (Makoto)

“It was on the verge of turning into a really interesting talk!”

Ooh.

Even though we are still at a pretty good distance from her laboratory, for some reason, Seiren is already here with us, moreover, at our backs.

“I heard that you are a person that rarely eats outside… That’s surprising.” (Makoto)

“I thought it would be nice to go to the cafeteria to eat every now and then. On my way back, I saw you two.” (Seiren)

“I see.” (Makoto)

Researchers can also use the Academy facilities.

Damn it, so our research talk is gonna begin from here on, huh.

“…”

“What is it? Is there a point that bothered you in our talk?” (Makoto)

There must be, right?

And then, we will be talking about something that will make us advance at a snail’s pace and go nowhere…

“Yeah, a mountain of things! But…go ahead, please think of me as air and continue talking about what you were talking about.” (Seiren)

“Eh?” (Izumo)

That was Izumo.

I felt the same way.

When she is interested in something, she would question it at that place and at that time. Questions that would ignore the flow of the conversation, that would then be followed by another question in the middle of it. That’s how this person works.

She has no ill intent. It is just that she just can’t leave be the things that are bothering her mind -for good or for bad.

“Even though you are here now?” (Makoto)

“Yes! Go ahead!” (Seiren)

Don’t give me that ‘yes, go ahead’.

She is really hard to deal with!

But we can’t just stop here.

It can’t be helped, so while we head to the laboratory, I try to remember what we were talking about.

“Aah…about the common chant, right?” (Makoto)

“Yeah. That depending on the user, the common is the most optimal language. In terms of feeling, I can understand. With graph and noble, the balance of the power and magic power use worsens, and there’s times when you could end up not being able to master it.” (Izumo)

“The feeling of it is important too. I personally think the aria language you choose should be a point that should be given more attention. Leaving noble aside, I think that graph and common should be used in conjunction more often to find a variety of points of compromise.” (Makoto)

You could say common is hiragana and graph is kanji.

I would say that’s about right if I were to compare it to the japanese language.

As a person who can understand most of everything if I listen to it and hear it as static if there’s any inconsistencies, it makes me feel a bit embarrassed to lecture the people who are seriously researching about it.

But they request for my input fervently, so I at least answer what’s asked.

This is the result of that.

I don’t know what was the right choice.

“In between common and graph, huh. Is that necessary?” (Izumo)

“If everyone were as exemplar as you, Izumo, they wouldn’t need to, but it is not like everyone’s a genius or can form arias by feeling alone. There needs to be a point of view from the practical and the research side. Normally, it is because of heavy research supporting it that the repertoire of spells that can be made practical increases.” (Makoto)

“…Is that the point of view of a mage?” (Izumo)

“No, the point of view of a merchant. A person that connects several ideas and inspirations into demand; it is when these two exist that new products are created. Research and marketing may look close yet far, far yet unexpectedly close.” (Makoto)

“Sensei is a mage, merchant, and teacher after all. Of course your thoughts would be novel.” (Izumo)

“By the way, returning to the topic at hand, when the Blue Lizard-kuns get serious on their arias, it turns into weird chants.” (Makoto)

“?! Seriously?!” (Izumo)

“Seriously.” (Makoto)

While we were having that talk, we arrived at the laboratory.

Seiren-san really didn’t say a single word on the way, and it felt really creepy.

◇◇◆◆◇◇◆◆◇◇◆◆◇◇◆◆

Izumo Osakabe was lying on the sofa completely exhausted.

The laboratory isn’t of such good quality, so quite the hard uncomfortable sofa was supporting his body.

There’s stars shining in the sky.

…Since a long while ago.

“Then, here! Language understanding! From what I heard there, Raidou-sensei can understand the meaning of the aria language when he forms it, right?! Is that possible?! With the feeling as if he is translating the complicated aria languages like graph, noble, and weird into common language! The pronunciation and rhyme are completely different! No wonder it turns into a language that the receiver can’t understand!” (Seiren)

“…I think he can do it. In the first place, Sensei uses magic with a monster language like the lost chant, and he mostly goes chantless.” (Izumo)

“?! A new aria language?!” (Seiren)

“?! Shit, I did it again…!” (Izumo)

“Aah, what a relief. I am glad I endured so hard in asking questions in the middle of it and concentrated on writing it down. Raidou-sensei was only coming for today, but there were a mountain of things I wanted to ask him. And so, I asked myself what I should do. Then, I thought I should just have Sensei talk as much as he wants and question Osakabe-kun later! That was a revolutionizing idea. I should have thought of that sooner…!” (Seiren)

Seiren seemed like she was praising herself, but she was just worrying and worrying about it, and as a result, one of the few friends of hers that invited her to lunch and proposed that idea.

Each and every time she spoke with Raidou, she felt like the knowledge of Raidou regarding arias was somewhat crooked, or more like it pierced through all understanding. When Seiren noticed this, she would barrage him with questions every time, and suffered in regret afterwards that the questions and discussion of the important topics about the research itself didn’t advance at all.

For her, both were important. So important that she couldn’t neglect either.

In the last meeting that finally came, she put her all in just listening as advised, and would flail her legs around or spin her seat desperately pushing down her desires and concentrated fully on writing it down.

And so, after Raidou left…

The dam in her heart that was overflowing to the brim broke down grandly, and Izumo who was right below that damn was being rained down by questions. He was currently cornered to the point that his spirit has died.

If Raidou were to see this state of things, he would have compared this to an otaku that just watched attentively to the last episode of an anime, and then, after it finished, they wouldn’t be able to restraint themselves anymore and their social media would explode right in the middle of the night.

The tragic part of this is that the water isn’t flowing into the sea of the internet, but suffocating Izumo alone.

There’s most likely no one who would blame him for cursing once or twice here.

(At this rate, it will just gradually worsen. No matter what I say, it will bring me back to the starting point. And she doesn’t care about the time at all. These kinds of people don’t have a notion of night and day. The only thing they have is punctuations between their subjects and research. It is unbelievable, but this talk was the result of deviating from my explanation about motion aria. It may have been a request from my esteemed teacher, but I have been thrown into an outrageous hell!) (Izumo)

At this rate, who knows how many times he would have to tag along with this researcher?

Izumo was rotting away.

“T-Then then! About the summoning of the monsters that apparently can use weird chant, could it be that Raidou-sensei uses that lost chant to…” (Seiren)

“Wait! Let’s return to the topic. In the first place, I am here because I was asked by Sensei to help you out in your research. My job is to explain to you about the general idea of motion aria, right?” (Izumo)

“…Well, yeah…” (Seiren)

Seiren clearly had her enthusiasm deflated and seemed like she didn’t find it amusing.

But Izumo wasn’t going to bend here.

He didn’t want to do an all-nighter for something as pointless as this.

Forming a structure for his own fighting style, analyzing the video of the magic constructions; he also has a lot of things he wants to do.

“Then, let’s advance that first.” (Izumo)

“No, motion aria is a technique to reuse the word used after the aria finished. To understand that, I need to understand the way of thinking you have when choosing which parts of the aria you use and how much understanding you have of that aria’s meaning.” (Seiren)

“Y-Yeah…” (Izumo)

“In other words, there’s the need to understand the thoughts of Raidou-sensei who was the influence for everything and led you to the idea of that technique.” (Seiren)

“Why did it reach that conclusion? You are twisting it too much!” (Izumo)

“It makes sense!! If Sensei is not going to come anymore, I have no choice but to get it out from you!” (Seiren)

“No! Don’t take out your anger on me! In the first place, you are the one who rejected that very same Raidou-sensei! If you had accepted, you could have asked him about arias in meals, dates, at the bed, anytime you wanted as much as you wanted, right?! I don’t wanna be the middleman here after you were the one who messed up, you know?!” (Izumo)

“…”

“Haaah…haaaah…” (Izumo)

“…I already know that!! It can’t be helped. I didn’t know he was such a superhyuman like that! In the first place, I heard, you know?! I heard that you guys also looked down on the lectures of Raidou-sensei quite a lot at first!” (Seiren)

“That has nothing to do with this! In the first place, a researcher that doesn’t know about lost chants wouldn’t be able to even reach the tips of Sensei’s toes even if she were to shut herself in for the rest of her life! He is seriously in a different place of existence at this point!” (Izumo)

“Something like that, I already knew the moment he first came here and said ‘Imni is the word to make fire, right? Then, for Seiren-san, it would be better to use Ignore’! The efficiency and power took a drastic jump, but I don’t understand the logic of that change!!” (Seiren)

Seiren is relatively docile when in front of Raidou, but she is the complete opposite in front of Izumo.

There’s times when her words turn violent.

“Huh?! It is because with Imnu you would have just wasted your magic power pointlessly, right? When you change it to Ignore you…probably…can feel that you can get even more fire! Don’t know the logic though!” (Izumo)

“It is that! That! I still don’t get this ‘feeling’ yet! I will change the topic of research! Tell me in more detail about what you felt from Raidou-sensei!” (Seiren)

Seiren was completely ready to write everything down.

Izumo stands up reflexively.

“As if! As I said, if only you had gone out with—” (Izumo)

“Don’t say it!! Don’t say that anymore!!” (Seiren)

Seiren also stands up and cuts the words of Izumo with all her strength.

The fact that she let go of such a big fish.

Seiren would drown in alcohol at the bar, Rabidoll, she frequents, and the master there would tilt his head at the unexpected development.

The relationship between these two -no, these four, was far longer than what Raidou thought at first, and it would unexpectedly continue to go on.

Numerous achievements and discoveries will be born from this and bring forth great profits for Lorel, but…the present Izumo was still treating it as if it is none of his business.

For now, a distasteful rumor about Izumo having already put his hands on a mature woman even though he is already married had been born anew. And so, the suffering Seiren had to face from her relationship with Raidou lessened.

    1. poor Izumo has to deal with rumors of adultery…then again Sensei did save his wife’s life and save the country from ruinous rebellion.

  2. Thanks for the chapter.
    Makoto’s words are now an anime for Seiren.
    I wonder What would be his reaction if he knew that.

  3. Man… I kinda hope that Seiren gets a chance-ish with Makoto… probably not going to happen but welp looks like the master or the bar misunderstood Seiren’s plea xD

    1. I mean… she is kinda pitiful and that makes for good teasing material and since she is in the end just a dork it’s kinda cute

      1. I am against it. In the end she would basically be like all the other women that are after his money rather then because they love him. I would rather her end up being Isumos second bride and Iroha be the one teasing her.

  4. Izumo: Damn it Seiren why did you let go of the biggest fish in Rotsgard like that!?
    Seiren: It’s not my fault!!! I didn’t know he was that big!!!
    Lime: Same here he reaaaaally is big.

    1. I am really curious if seiren is interested in Makoto romantically or just for the knowledge

      Thank for the translation, reigokai san

  5. Izumo’s accidentally letting too many things slip, isn’t he?
    Also, I’m wondering if Seiren’s actually becoming interested in Makoto, or if it’s just attraction to his knowledge.
    It’d be nice if he spread knowledge and erased all those shitty praises to the Bug arias though…

  6. ‘Imni is the word to make fire, right? Then, for Seiren-san, it would be better to use Ignore’!
    When was this said? What chapter?

    1. Move one key over, on a couple letters, and it becomes Ignite which would make sense… but i gotta admit, i just read through that without thinking about it until your comment….

  7. Thanks again to the translator sama for another great chapter.

    What would it be like for Seiren to become Izumo’s 2nd wife, jajajajaja. I never thought that Izumo would bring us more hilarious moments.

    Thank you very much for your interest.
    I didn’t expect such an answer, it’s much more than I would have expected.

    If it’s a Pov fanfict, Creator for me. I try as much as possible to emulate the essence of this great story. I hope I did it even a little bit.

    Tsuki ga has so many characters that they need a Pov or an extra more than the two useless heroes. Seiren, Zara, Ester. But unfortunately it is not so.

    Enjoy it.

    Part 3 Fanfict Pov Seiren Garmena:

    I ran as fast as I could. I saw that the magic light from his magic writing tried to reach me, but I didn’t stop I had to run away no matter what.

    I went straight to my room.
    I have a room in the area of the nobles’ bedrooms, I made up my walk and closed my door.
    I fell onto my bed and got into the fetal position. The goose bumps did not disappear, I even had some nausea, I looked in my mirror and I was a little pale.

    What the heck was that?
    That thing not monster, dared to ……. to……..

    [If you become my number 1, I will marry you and give you as much money as you want]

    I couldn’t keep my composure, I made an expression of incredible disgust and the only words that I managed to gesticulate were:

    “No thanks!” And I ran away.

    The ideal would have been to take the conversation in a favorable direction for me and end in a polite way and on good terms, BUT I COULDN’T
    My face is burning with anger and my head hurts, those words he said implied that

    I wanted me to sell my body for money.

    In society, being the first wife implies having unbreakable ties with the other person and together having children.
    As if there were any woman who wanted that position. If there is, I want to meet her and examine her body, I would gladly conduct an investigation to see how her brain works.

    Also, the only ones who would give such an arrogant answer would be a king or a great nobleman who is at the top of her nation.

    There is a protocol for such responses!

    A mere trader, who is a part-time teacher with a negligible group of students who barely meets the minimum regulations for a class.

    What have you thought of me, how many times have you wanted this body of mine? There is no doubt that it is the enemy of all women. That thing should just disappear from that academy city.

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
    I didn’t eat anything that day and I locked myself in my room until the next day, no matter what the classes, I couldn’t allow someone to see me in that state.

    The next day, the first thing I did was communicate my traumatic experience to my acquaintances and from the personnel area and the girls’ bedrooms. After a few days I am finally going to tell my friend the librarian Eva, my traumatic experience.

    But while I was heading there. Some students stopped me and
    told me that Ilumgand Hopelace sama wanted to meet me.

    Rejecting an invitation from a great nobleman is unimaginable and worse for someone on a par with the royal family.

    In a private room, was the noble Ilumgand. I gave my regards and took a seat. I was intrigued by his reason for calling me, but this could be an opportunity maybe he could be my sponsor of my research and forget the traumatic experience of days ago.

    I left the room, with a question mark in my head.

    transmit my trauma wherever raidou is?

    If I do, it will support my research. And to emphasize the little value that Raidou has as a man.

    It is not obvious in the first place. My motivation was to avoid the misunderstandings that students around us could create and prevent any raidou action in case they wanted to taint my name.

    If Hopelace sama is after raidou’s neck, then I just have to wait until that thing disappears. First from the academy, then from business and then from Rostgard. And all my concerns about my research disappear. If I keep my end of the deal, I’ll have a bright future.

    A few weeks passed after fulfilling my end of the deal. I couldn’t tell anyone about this, but Eva warned me that antagonizing Raidou or her business is a big No, no matter who it is. If you want to have a future, stop what you are doing and apologize.

    Sigh, Eva told me with a very serious face. I’m not a lot of going out, but she took me to eat at a place called Gotetsu and together with her little sister they told me those words.

    But in the first place why?

    I am the victim here and why do I want to meet Raidou,
    rather I do not want to know anything about him for the rest of my life.
    ignore their unfounded warning

    A few weeks passed, again I heard rumors about Raidou, his class is now 7 students and the new students are the dangerous duo of the Rembrant family. They are the worst type of students, in the past in whatever class they were, they put the teacher’s job at risk. I was happy to hear that, if that pair acts, Raidou will disappear more quickly. I secretly supported those two.

    A few days later, those two looked for me. A sweat ran down my back, as I couldn’t go to the library anymore because Raidou spent a lot of time there.

    I had to spend more time in other areas of the academy, to find another place to relax and it was at that moment that those two appeared in front of me.

    They asked me if it was me. The rumored Seiren and nodded. They examined me from head to toe and after nodding they told me. You do well to keep your distance, though hawking your enviable proposition makes us want to crush you.

    But the person in question does not seem to care in the least, so you do well and stay that way, but your proclamation is enough. OKAY.

    I ran again, what was that. Because since that terrible day, I have been dealing with inexplicable events one after another. Eva and now the Rembrant sisters what makes them act like this?

    I did my part so I was not going to do anything else. I will only return to my home in the empire for this vacation, I will cool my mind and continue with my research to receive the school festival with all my heart.

    In the first days of the school Festival …..

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    to be continue….

    hope you like.

    I apologize for the grammatical errors.

    I support myself with google translator

  8. Pfft! Izumo having rumors about him cheating. He will not be amused once he hears about them. Especially since he originally hated Seiren because of her rejecting his respected sensei. I do wonder if these rumors would end up reaching Iroha? I actually think she wouldn’t mind Izumo having other lovers since she has been raised in an environment where that’s normal though I think Izumo only has eyes for her.

    Well anyways Seiren is a dork. That makes her kinda adorable especially when she was flailing around to stop herself from bombarding Makoto with questions because of her curiosity. I kinda hope she gets another chance with Makoto.

    So if arias have to do with how well you understand the words to properly form a chant in a language you understand, I wonder if Makoto can recite arias in Japanese and teach it to Izumo? The language of Lorel has Japanese as like a high language that is taught to the nobility and Izumo is from a noble household so he should have some knowledge of Japanese. It’d be funny if Makoto decides to screw with him and teaches him a bunch of anime songs or chuuni ramblings as a new aria style that surprisingly is super effective.

  9. I need to know this. There is a game for Michibiku right? And it is apparently voiced, with Tomoe having Kawasumi Ayako as her VA (Saber from FSN). But i have not find any kind of voiced footage of the game. Does anyone know something about that? I would also like to hear Mio’s voice acting

      1. I experienced nothing but confusion and horror… Who is that pig tail braided girl? She a shrine maiden? She uses a bow but clumsy with it? Where is Makoto? Who is the artist behind Tomoe and Mio’s redrawing?! Who are these units?! Hyunans? Elves? Oh this one weilds a bow. Is he suppose to be the archer from Toa’s group? Wait, that can’t be since that party member is a female not a male! Where is Makoto?! Hibiki, those are some huge shoulder guards! And most of all… Why was this game canned?

  10. damn….. this Seiren really keep forcing other people to go deep into her own research and didnt regarding the circumstance of other people life… its quite surprising seeing Izumo manage to keep himself calm and only shout only at some moment…. if it were me… i might as well punch Seiren in the face for keep taking my time because she keep turning the conversation and research front and back , making it an endless cycle , because she cant stop on 1 problem and finish it first before go into the next problem and just keep making problem

    1. [In the last meeting that finally came, she put her all in just listening as advised, and would flail her legs around or spin her seat desperately pushing down her desires and concentrated fully on writing it down.]

      Seiren has ADHD

      [“Something like that, I already knew the moment he first came here and said ‘Imni is the word to make fire, right? Then, for Seiren-san, it would be better to use Ignore’! The efficiency and power took a drastic jump, but I don’t understand the logic of that change!!” (Seiren)
      Seiren is relatively docile when in front of Raidou, but she is the complete opposite in front of Izumo.
      There’s times when her words turn violent.
      “Huh?! It is because with Imnu you would have just wasted your magic power pointlessly, right? When you change it to Ignore you…probably…can feel that you can get even more fire! Don’t know the logic though!” (Izumo)]

      Imni or Imnu? Which one is it!?

      Suddenly…I’m feeling reluctant to learn a new language…

      [Even elves, dwarfs, the Blue Lizard-kuns, that orc, and even Kuro and Hatsuharu that beat you up the other day have their own greetings.]
      * dwarfs —> dwarves

      [Even graph and noble, you would need to have understanding in common chant or you wouldn’t be able to…oops, any further and it would turn into a topic that enters the research area of Seiren.]
      * have understanding —> have an understanding

      [“By the way, returning to the topic at hand, when the Blue Lizard-kuns get serious on their arias, it turns into weird chants.”]
      * serious on —> serious in

  11. Thanks for the new chapter!

    Well, for Raidou, chants are done literally like speaking in his mother tongue after all. Really, for something given so haphazardly and with ill-intent, this power of “Comprehension” is super OP (especially considering his bottomless reserves of magic that keeps on growing). Bug she may be, she can still be beneficial at times, mostly due to her own thoughtlessness.

    Poor Izumo though, having to share an unwarranted burden.

    1. I wonder if it was really her thoughtlessness that gave him that power. I mean, his parents were on her great side..

      I think the author has space to change things. That is, if bug is really a bug, I think he can make her not really a bug.

      1. Well, that’s not a distant possibility to be sure. That being said, it was mentioned during the Three Gods’ Visit that a tweaked Power of Comprehension is basically just the ability to speak languages (thus doesn’t use up too much “Blessing Capacity” compared to its untweaked form), and that Bug is pretty good at cheating her way out of problematic stuffs. Who wanna bet that the Hyumans’ ability to speak their Common Language isn’t actually an even more restricted form of the Power of Comprehension?

  12. Thanks for the chapter, after hearing about those rumors of Izumo, Misura breathed a sigth of relief to not find himself in such a pecarious place. Really she should just become a student of his class to get a better grasp of his ideas.

  13. Thus Seiren got what she asked for from Makoto at their first time meeting but nothing more.
    Well, I guess that’s it for shipping jokes in this arc at least.

  14. Makoto’s Main Strengths:
    1.Sakai from Tsukuyomi connected with tomoe (illusion power) to become Asora
    2.The power of understanding the Insect Goddess’s words about things that go beyond wiki and google translating the possibilities into the Akasic Record area
    3. A Training Bow that increases physical strength and even increases magical power and when transferred to another world a magical seal is released.

    Seiren If you know who Raidou really is then the answer is a direct descendant of the High Nobles and High Priests of Elyshion who are close to the creation era of the goddess world. Lord Raidou was superior to existing kings and did not plunge into the madness of other nobles to take over the land of Elyshion which was destroyed by the Demon Race. Respected and feared The dragons hold the prayers of the spirits and the path of the moon god from Tsukuyomi.

    Izumo correctly said that your Sensei is in a different dimension but hasn’t become a God while using divine powers.

    Seiren I hope you will not regret just looking at something from your appearance, not your personality and don’t self-destruct.

  15. Seiren is like a software programmer. Example,
    MC suddenly confess to Seiren, an software programmer in Google.
    In her mind, various thoughts are being process with, and eventually break down. Here’s what she think

    class SeirenDailyLife(){
    public main(){
    proceed_daily_life();
    }

    public proceed_daily_life(){
    if(hungry()) eat();
    if(want_to_learn()) go_to_library();
    if(someone_confess()) what_the();
    }

    private what_the(){
    if(!was_he_hot()) run();
    if(!was_he_handsome()) run();
    if(!was_he_intelligent()) run();
    if(!was_he_popular()) run();
    if(!was_he_researcher()) run();
    if(!was_he_likeable()) run();
    var name=whats_his_name();
    reply(name + “, good to see you”);
    }
    }

    run>>> SeirenDailyLife()
    error: variable ‘name’ doesnt recognize or null

  16. sorry it deviates from the title but does anyone realize that the adventure guild system which is said to be root (falz) is based on an illusion system and the level increases due to how many you kill but Makoto doesn’t fall into that illusion and priest’s blood or holy elements in the body Makoto keeps the soul pure like the Advent guild uses the dead soul to infuse into the soul of the victor so it doesn’t apply to makoto and the arc training releases magic power to a critical limit and reconstructs the soul resulting in an abundance of mana around the makoto like a vortex to keep the soul from being corrupted like what Tsuki said. and shiva corrupts the mortal body and is one step towards death because the mortal body holds a lot of strength not in the soul to keep the soul / spiritual form pure

    1. The reason why the powers of gods and goddesses can enter Makoto’s soul is because of the sacred elements that Makoto brought from his mother because he was a high-ranking priest in the shrine, and it is known that in the Tsuki myth there are 3 miko noble gods in shinto who have the effect of too much power flowing to Makoto because of its proximity to the holy element

  17. Thanks for the chapter!

    BTW, correct me if I’m wrong: Makoto basically uses on’yomi words in his aria (nearly single syllable words that contains the entirety of the meaning) while the usual practice is to use the kun’yomi pronunciation/words.

  18. Every time Makoto’s language ability comes up I wonder how the hell it manages to convey information to him through words he doesn’t have an equivalent for. Like if someone uses philautia or agape to describe love does he still hear ‘love’ but automatically understand the subtext? If I say ‘subnet mask’ is he going to hear the words but not understand them, or is he going to automatically learn/know enough to get what those words mean.

  19. That title and chapter content confused me for one second, I thought the fish is about the one that took the bait they laid out. you know… the one they talked about in the host spring last chapter.

  20. I heard some rumblings and rumors about an Anime adaptation for Tsuki. Looking back on this story though… I actually struggled to find a good end point for an anime adaptation especially early on. This story actually has weird beat/rhythm/flow though I struggle to explain it but it feels that way for me.

    1. I imagine some parts of the journey would have to be skipped in order to reach a comfortable end point, but Tsuki ga Michibiku is made with a bunch of down time moments that speak a lot about the character’s character.. It would be concerning just seeing an ark skip through the majority just to see the more exciting bits. Essentially since this story doesn’t have a huge focus on combat.

      If they adapted the majority of the writing then with 24 episodes the anime would probably end after the creation of the lake or after he meets Root to find out the truth behind the adventurer’s guild system. If it were in my dream, I’d adapt until the end of Kuzunoha’s Tour. The conversation between Makoto and Hibiki will be both a high point and a major topic for discussion even among the more critical folks. Although that would probably, if it ever happens, be adapted in a season 2 or movie.

      Realistically it has a higher chance of getting a 12 episode cour much like most LN series… Maybe more since it seems to be a decent seller even without an anime adaptation.

    2. Yeah… It has been while since it had meaning. As of late, it is like a filler made if the memoirs of Makoto while he was living.

      It changed a lot. Everytime I read it, I read with the hope of something exciting happening. But it never does. It is all small conflicts of one to two chapters at best. And even so, the conflicts are not conflicting at all…

  21. Thanks for chap
    To all the seiren-cons so far who kept defending her…… IN YOUR FACE!!! This chap its clear about both parties intention and that she rejects him, no more misunderstandings.

    1. I would rather worry about Bug more than Mio at this point though.
      Better to not check what kind of petty bullshit she could pull for that.

    2. Well, Mio itself in the past say that she don’t have problem with others girls having a relaptionship with Makoto as long she acknowledge them, though we still don’t know his current opinion after consolidate his relaptionship with Makoto, similar with Tomoe who thought about Makoto having more than 100 wifes.

  22. I seriously thought Seiren would become Makoto’s hyuman wife. But, after this chapter, I doubt they will interact anymore or that she will be even mentioned a second time.

  23. No!

    “…”

    I half expected her to hunt down Raidou at this point, or propose to Izumo… so she could d the same with him instead… just for that knowledge…

    Aten-hut! (Iroha, Tomoe, Mio)

  24. The funny/sad thing is that even if she had accepted his offer he would’ve hit her with a “its just a prank bro” and that would’ve been even more humiliating

  25. Starting to have a worse impression of her. She seriously regrets rejecting him just cause she didn’t know how superhuman Raidou was? Also poor Izumo for having to deal with her like this.

    1. If you were a magic researcher and you let go of the person that could have answered all of the mysteries of the world… It’s not a matter of a relationship; this is your life’s work at risk ahaha

      1. this is not your life work,this is your life,at this point she lives for this…. From what i can see,she will die happy,make tons of kids with Raidou only to grasp a bit the Pandora Box….

    2. Use a different perspective youngster.

      EVERYONE IS A GOLDDIGGER!
      Want money? Golddigger
      Want emotional support? Emotiondigger
      Want attention? Attentiondigger
      Want freedom? Dont get fucking involved with others you retarded shitstain of an existence! sadly humans arnt wired that way and need some form of interaction! (There are always exceptions to the rule!)
      Want information? Informationdigger

      Everyone is CRAVING for something from a relationship. They are DIGGERS for it.

      People do things because they care? Bullshit, they do it for self-satisfaction!
      “Look at me, being such a good person helping out at this soup kitchen/orphanage/shelter/school/somethingthathasnothingtofuckingdowiththerestofmylifebut
      itmakesmefeelbetterandhaveabetterimage”

      People are SHIT, everyone is just looking for the least smelly and nauseating to fuck and marry.

        1. You are welcome!

          That will be $9.99 before taxes and after fees. You can send the money to Naaahh just kidding. Im a sloth type of guy.

      1. Lol. i will just laught at it, cause its better to take it in a funny way than in a serious way all that.

    3. Well you feel its strange? she knew nothing of him except that he had money and he was quite ugly (in our world standards makoto would look like a disfigured for them) what else could she think from a stranger?

      Its true she was quite a shitty woman when she rejected him, but that’s how first impressions work on many people. Its only after she actually knows him that she can put pass his appearance and find things she likes of him..

      1. I just made a similar comment after reading this chapter. You’re 100% correct in the point of view. Especially since she didn’t know much about him and given his “beauty” in their world. I mean, no ugly guy/girl gets with a 10 with looks alone, you need something of value to them or damn interesting to keep their attention.

        1. Yeah and that’s what happens, first impressions are important, those couple were one person is obviously more physically beautiful than the other exists because they find other things beyond the looks to keep them together, but that comes with time not with a complete stranger.

          1. Don’t forget that in this world, it’s actually out of the norm for a hyuman (or Makoto in this case) to not look beautiful all because of that bugs preference.

          1. It is
            There was once when a girl who had an appearance that was truly to my taste came wearing a white robe and, I couldn’t tell if she was demanding research expenses or proposing marriage, but when she did, I said jokingly: [If you become my number 1, I will marry and give you as much money as you want] And when I said that, not only did she show me an expression of incredible disgust, she also said: “No thanks!” As if her life was at stake, and ran away as fast as she could. I have been confessed as if looking down on me several times, but that one really got me
            This is the conversation. He just misremembered because he was just joking

  26. I really feel bad for the poor Seiren, i mean, she strikes me like a really cute girl, even more so with how she acts like a girl in her first love. But she just had to face this dilema when its absolutely impossible for her to ever reach makoto, maybe if she hadn’t refused, or she had tried to fix things sooner, but now its completely impossible for her.

      1. Its she and her, you failed in the pronoun.

        And i never said Makoto fell in love with her (The poor idiot barely understands love), but he indeed found Seiren cute or at least attractive.

  27. I find it funny how even some readers don t seem to realize she never had a chance. Makoto confessed out of spite to a random girl among the gold diggers, he was sure she would refuse.
    I don t find anything worth pitying here.
    Mc did way too much already and i hope we re going to go on with the story and close this stuff.

  28. he would have compared this to an otaku that just watched attentively to the last episode of an anime, and then, after it finished, they wouldn’t be able to restraint themselves anymore and their social media would explode right in the middle of the night.

    dang I feel personally attacked lul

  29. Part of me feels bad for Seiren in all this. I mean she is kinda materialistic towards Mokoto… though with all being considered how he looks in this world compared to other hyuman’s, it’s understandable she ran.

    I kinda hope she does get with Mokoto or atleast becomes a trusted ally that joins Asora. You can’t blame a above average beauty (especially in this world) for reeling the first time when Mokoto did try to slap her with money to get laid as a insult.

    I look forward to how their relationship develops from here… though I’m confused… Who is the forth in the group? Are they adding Iroha to that group?
