The escape plan of Toa that had the new Illusion Skills of hers as its core.

Putting it roughly, after taking away her vision, hiding her comrades, making a surprise attack, and dealing suitable damage, she would escape before she could recover.

In reality, failure was in sight with that cheat-like ability of her lightning element that locks onto her targets, but thanks to the existence of a third party, the future changed.

Alpine really does have luck in their side.

“Y-You saved us. Thanks.” (Ranina)

“If it hadn’t been the Goddess’s Apostle, you wouldn’t have needed my help though. That was close.”

Ranina, who was breathing roughly, was spoken to in a calm tone.

They weren’t familiar with the woman, but her clothes that would normally be worn by priests would mean that she is affiliated with the Goddess or the Spirit Church.

(? In that case, is she really a helping hand? Our actions this time around are clearly…)

“I don’t really serve the Goddess or the Spirits, so don’t worry. Well, I will definitely borrow the name of the Goddess or a Spirit if necessary though.”

“Is it okay to assume that you have helped us in our escape?” (Hazal)

Hazal seems to also be unable to get a grasp of the woman’s identity, and tries to get information from her.

Louisa is currently confirming the surroundings with suspicion.

“It is okay. Good grief, I am being used real well by that merchant called Rembrandt.”

“An adventurer that received a request from Tsige? I don’t remember you though… Do you know what happened to our leader?” (Louisa)

The woman responded with slight bitterness at the question of Hazal.

The next one was Louisa.

She was concerned about Toa who is the one that protects the rearguard.

The Skill of Toa nailed perfectly, and just at the same moment the blizzard was erased, the party was also erased from the sight of Alte, and the surprise attack went as planned.

But they don’t know if what happened later went well.

Alpine dispersed with escape in mind, and they now stand here due to the voice that resonated in their minds and guided them here.

“Toa, right? She will eventually come. Following your presences… Ah, here she is.”

“Oof, she was strong.” (Toa)

““!””

Toa suddenly appeared in front of the three. That missing arm of hers gave such a big impact that her comrades were at a loss of words for a moment.

“Toa, you…” (Ranina)

“Is this the time to be talking all calmly?! Hazal!” (Louisa)

“I know! I will finish the emergency treatment at once, so come here, quick!” (Hazal)

Hazal opened all the pouches he had on him, and then, he lined up every kind of potion.

Louisa and Ranina run to where Toa is and check for any other injury aside from her arm.

The silver haired woman watched that state of theirs and placed a palm on her head while looking up at the sky.

She seemed truly amazed.

“Toa, was there any need to step in there? You have such a cute little sister, so I don’t really appreciate hurrying to your death.”

“? Eh?! G-Ginebia?!” (Toa)

“I don’t remember allowing you to call me without any honorifics, but that’s right, I am that Ginebia. Nice to meet you.”

“Just meeting Aznoval and Rokuya was already unbelievable! Uwa, the real deal! The Silver Devil Ginebia!” (Toa)

“Wait wait, what’s this Silver Devil thing?! I don’t know anything about that! I am a priest!” (Bia)

“Ahaha.” (Toa)

“Don’t laugh!” (Bia)

“G-Ginebia-dono, as you can see, Toa is gravely injured. I am sorry, but please allow us to heal her first.” (Louisa)

“Louisa, right? If that really were the case, Toa wouldn’t be this carefree here.” (Bia)

“…? Ah, that’s true. For someone who has lost an arm…” (Louisa)

Toa is way too energetic.

It doesn’t look like she is pushing herself here.

It really is strange.

“Well, there’s no doubt she is seriously injured. The problem is Toa doesn’t notice. Ninjutsu…the technique of ninjas, huh. It is not like I don’t get it, but…it is a double-edged sword.” (Bia)

“Toa! Is your arm okay?!” (Ranina)

Ranina must have reached some degree of understanding from the words of Ginebia and asks Toa.

“Heeh, as expected, you could see through it, Ginebia. This is one of the Genjutsu Skills. Scaring you guys too much will make me feel bad, so I am going to undo it.” (Toa)

Ginebia lets out a heavy sigh, and Toa said this like there really is nothing wrong.

And then…she undid her Skill.

“…Eh?”

““Gyaaaaaaah!!””

The one armed Toa that doesn’t have blood flowing out anymore.

After the illusion was undone, the true appearance of her was…a completely charred arm that was barely hanging by two threads of muscle and feels like it would be about to fall at any moment.

Toa went ‘eh?’ at her own tragic state.

She let out a dumbfounded voice.

And her comrades, seeing the completely changed state of Toa’s arm that was screaming in protest even from its smell, made everyone scream as well as the same time.

“Ah, eh? M-My arm…aaah…” (Toa)

“This is bad!!” (Bia)

“Guh!” (Toa)

Toa was computing the reality and was on the verge of a panic attack.

Ginebia hit the chin and back of Toa’s neck.

Both of her hands were fast like lightning with technique that would make 100 out of 100 grapplers nod about her expertise.

Leaving aside the effects of it, Toa fell in place without making a ruckus.

“A Skill that deceives even the senses of the user themselves. Tobikato, what a fearsome Job. However, if you don’t use it correctly, it is incredibly dangerous. She must be told not to abuse it until she has a good grasp of it.” (Bia)

“U-Uhm, Ginebia-san?” (Hazal)

“Hazal, right? You have good tools and medicines. That’s admirable. Well then, let’s begin the emergency treatment of Toa. Right right, just as Toa already said, my name is Ginebia. I am a Lorel adventurer that has lived a little bit long.” (Bia)

While giving out precise instructions to Hazal, she activated several spells, and performed the treatment on Toa.

“…You have received a request from the Rembrandt Company, so is it okay to assume that you will follow up for us in the return to Tsige, Ginebia-dono?” (Ranina)

Ginebia stopped her movements for a bit at the confirmation of Ranina…and she shook her head to the sides.

“No. I am sorry, but there’s none of that. We can’t have Alpine return to Tsige until the war is over.” (Bia)

““?!””

“I will have you continue your journey back to your homelands.” (Bia)

“No, that’s troubling. We have to report about the information we got of Alte Barrette that we painstakingly took the risks to obtain.” (Louisa)

“It would be troubling if you report it, Louisa.” (Bia)

“…I don’t understand what you mean, Ginebia-dono. It sounds like you are saying you don’t want to bring that information back to Tsige.” (Ranina)

“That’s right.” (Bia)

“! Could you possibly be in Aion’s side?!” (Ranina)

“That’s wrong. If you were to bring back the information of the woman called Alte, it will most likely reach the Kuzunoha Company. That…would be too disadvantageous for the Goddess’s Apostle. If the adventurers that I saved were the ones who brought the information about the special trait of the lightning element…we would be leaning too much on one side.” (Bia)

The three of Alpine didn’t understand what she was talking about.

Even in that span of time, at least for the time when Hazal was watching, Ginebia was showing exquisite and accurate healing technique and use of potions to recover Toa.

It is impossible to connect her arm in this place, but Hazal could assure that Ginebia was doing her all.

“…Toa knows about us, but we are people of a time far in the past. We didn’t come out to the front stage, and we decided to not get involved with the balance of the world and its hegemony. We have also promised an old friend. I was told a variety of things, and was convinced into saving you guys, and that’s already in the gray zone area.” (Bia)

“…Could it be that your appearance doesn’t correlate to your age? You clearly look hyuman though… But this place, and this space…I don’t feel the presence of Alte anywhere, and not only that, I can’t even tell where the Golden Highway is. It seems as if there’s the power of the Spirits overflowing here…but I don’t feel their will at all. Just who in the world are you…?” (Louisa)

“Not only did you touch about my age, but you even address me without manners…at the very least, towards me who is treating Toa right at this moment.” (Bia)

“I may look like this, but I have lived several generations that of a hyuman.” (Louisa)

“My life is history itself… From my memory, I have never met an elf that’s older than me.” (Bia)

“?” (Louisa)

“Now then, this is my limit to how much treatment I can give while opening a path. The rest…will be done once we arrive at your homeland, Louisa.” (Bia)

“?! Why do you know the location of my village?!” (Louisa)

“I was shown all your profiles from Rembrandt.” (Bia)

Ginebia says as if it were nothing.

“T-That merchant…! Since when did he make something like that?!” (Louisa)

“There’s no past that’s troubling to know about, so there should be no problems.” (Bia)

“They know everything…?!” (Louisa)

“I am already tired of being used to transport goods, and there’s the chance that my pace will be messed up if I were to tag along with the outrageousness of that merchant. I am thinking about staying with you guys to get back at him for a bit, so looking forward to your company, Alpine.” (Bia)

Ginebia doesn’t seem to like Rembrandt much.

She seemed to have accumulated stress.

“Together…?! No, that’s troubling! That would be really troubling, Ginebia-dono! Returning to my village right now would be incre~dily troubling! I have some circumstances with my family. I think that we should go to Ranina’s homeland first!” (Louisa)

“…About the baby petition because of the low birth rates? I don’t really mind going to the homeland of Ranina, but if I want to concentrate on the treatment, a forest is more suitable for me.” (Bia)

“! …That’s not just you making it up?” (Louisa)

“I was hit by the heat of the city from Tsige after all. I want to relax, and in the forest there’s a lot of fairies and Spirits, right? As you can see, Toa is heavily injured. I won’t really hide the process to bring her back to normal, so I think it would be a plus for you people, in a lot of fronts.” (Bia)

It slightly feels like an excuse, but it also sounds as if it is actually necessary.

However, Louisa looked at Toa who received a physical anesthetic, and after making a face on the verge of tears for a second…she yielded.

“Understood. But what do we do about the guiding?” (Louisa)

“No need. If we walk over there, we will arrive in around 15 minutes. Now then, let’s go.” (Bia)

“? Over there…wait, what’s with that incomprehensible Skill! Right, this place! We still haven’t gotten an explanation for this weird space!” (Louisa)

“It is a history mystery.” (Bia)

“Uhm, Ginebia-san, grabbing hold of Toa’s head while walking is a bit…I can make an impromptu stretcher! Stay there! Please stay there for a bit! Ranina, help!” (Hazal)

“Alright!” (Ranina)

“…Fumu…supportive airheaded harem protagonist, maybe? I don’t really get modern people.” (Bia)

Ginebia tilted her head.

And then, not long after, a notice of the disappearance of Alpine reached Tsige.

This was a bit of payback against Rembrandt, but Rembrandt himself was truly calm when hearing this report, and said.

“I will send letters to the families of Louisa, Ranina, and Hazal. The contents will be about defending their homes and Toa’s little sister to the last. The Rembrandt Company will defend them to the bitter end, so to not worry.” (Rembrandt)

Living for a long time doesn’t mean that she can read the young people of the generation accurately.

Just like the other members, Ginebia is one of the Adventurers of Origins who doesn’t know about the many nicknames she has.

Her real self is unexpectedly a person that breaks through any plans with her fists, and a person that’s unexpectedly easily seen through by the general public.

For example; her nickname of Silver Devil.

    1. Dear lord the immortal adventurers are continually being annoying. Nothing more a pain in the ass than a hypocritical fence sitter.

      1. Well Rembrandt is garbage it You don’t see it is your problem,he use everything he can and of course he has a lot to pay. That’s why Ginebia doesn’t like him,Tomoe also knows about that shit ,she is using him just for Makoto’s sake but if he became an hindrance …..It will be the end.

  1. It’s October 12! You know what happens!

  2. Ayyyyyy, Ginebia is overstepping a bit by withholding from kuzunoha, I feel like Makoto could still erase her even if she is immortal. But great chapter!

  3. The fuck? She doesn’t want them to go back so Makoto doesn’t have an extra advantage?
In what world would just letting them go back be leaning too much against the Goddess, and why would they even care about that, especially if it costs many more people their lives?
People who have lived for far too long lose all sense of humanity. Or they become too afraid of death.

    1. Yeah I don’t get it either. Does she want Apple to remain neutral or for Bug to not know about them? They have sent Pringles(PRG) to help Tsige gain independence which is against Bug’s wishes so they can’t claim neutrality and I’m pretty sure Bug already knows about their existence and how they’re helping Tsige since Pringles aren’t secretly helping Tsige and it is common knowledge that they are connected to Apple. Plus Alte already fought Aznoval and she knows about who he is.

      1. There is a lack of information about the apostles….I mean we only know that there is two of them and now that one is a woman and can use lighting. Also do you really think that for Makoto really matters this information? there is two apostles and one is half dead .

In previous chapters Rokuya was talking with Makoto about the compatibility of Alpine vs the apostles ,he gave him a few hints about the apostles powers

    2. Root and aznoval also didnt decide to kill apostol
Bia she is immortal but she isn’t strongest origin adventurer so even she joined fight it would be very probable to lose

  4. Why doesn’t Ginebia want Alpine to deliver their information? All that talk about it being too disadvantageous to Bug’s Apostles and that they’d be leaning too much to one side sounds stupid. Are they trying to keep neutral or something? It’s pretty late for that since they are providing Pringles to Tsige and also personally assisting too and since Tsige gaining independence is clearly against Bug’s wishes then helping Tsige means they can’t stay neutral and use that as an excuse.

What’s this about a baby petition? Sounds like the elf Louisa ran away from home because of that. If the elves have a low birthrate then go ask Lime or maybe Mondo for help.

  5. Thank you very much for the chapters.

It is very easy to think why hiding information is the same as with Root.

So many times Root has said that he is neutral and supports the world with his adventurer guild, but he is the opposite, he just wants to watch the world burn.

It is the same here, they believe that the adventurers of origin are happy with makoto, of course not, it is a respect along with fear.

They must feel pathetic, in having to help the person who humiliated them with such a crushing defeat. They try to justify themselves with neutrality, but everything is subjective.

Also for them, it does not matter what changes the revolution may bring or whether the war against demons continues. In the end the world will still be rubbish.

  6. Thanks for the chapter, I didn’t fully understood what the author meant at the end, but I get why she is witholding information that can give Makoto an advantage, they are to old and influencial where any move they make can disrupt the order of things, so care is indeed needed for all their actions.

  7. It’s been long time since post here
That Ginebia ask some much about respect and be older than every elf the encounter, wanna see they starting calling her Obaba-sama

  8. What a bullshit reasoning for neutrality!
Is she starting to think they are gods of that world already?
Just admit that she didn’t like Makoto and be done with it.
    Arrogant hypocrites.

  9. Information or no information, Makoto can handle an apostle or two~
Ginebia is a bit unfair there. It’s like she made Alpine’s hardship a complete waste. Alpine did that for information sake, and Bia-obaachan threw it to the bin.
Just one thought transmission to Makoto and everything, including Toa’s arm, will be solved in an instant.

  10. Thanks for the chapter! Regarding the complains about Genebia’s actions:

    1- The entire adventure system is based on their shared skill, which involves a contract between them and the goddess, with Root being the middle(wo)man. So, if they go against the contractor, who knows what punishment would befall them, being immortal and all;

    2- After what Makoto and Kuzunoha did in Lorel, no wonder a muscle brain would be less than a friend to him;

3- Finally, Toa is a latest descendant of the only deceased member of Apple, and most likely the ONLY reason she was even there to save Alpine in the first place.

So, there seems to be both logical and emotional reasons mixed in, and personally understand her deslike to both Makoto and Rembrandt.

  11. If a truly cultured one is one of those adventurers of origin that live for a really long time, who knows if 40% of hyuman in current time are link to his bloodline….

  12. this ginebia is a bitch priest.

1- she dislike makoto for being too OP
= i dont know how she knew that makoto will only join the war if the apostle involved but clearly she doesnt want the OP makoto join the war at all just to give the advantage to Tsilge from early start
-obviously rembrandt already predicted this that only makoto could end the apostle easily and end the war quicker(the apostle existence is the reason for Aion high morale)
    -(she probably knew from Rokuya)

2- she was forced to join the war along with other origins after their loss to makoto
= although the Origins would not play a major role in this war, their existence in the war is the core reason why makoto wouldnt be taking part in this war directly(no babysitting) or indirectly(makoto’s army strategem)
= she is bitter to the point of wanting to spoil the war by not making it easier to Tsilge
-she hate makoto, therefore she hate rembrandt as well. a bitch who couldnt take losses well. she want makoto side to suffer at least but not to the point of enraging makoto. a hypocrite bitch.
-fuck her, it also means that she had less empathy of the human losses in this war(war should end quickly to avoid bigger losses, Tsilge already tried that but Aion return with the help of the Apostle)
-just because she is immortal, her affinity to life other than her own connection is deteriorating so badly

3- Priority to save toa is only because she was tasked to do so
    =by Aznoval and Rokuya persistence
    – i think she knew Toa close relationship with the Kuzunoha’s

my point is, ginebia is an immortal bitch who doesnt care about the war and trying to mess the step of the war within grey reasoning.

  13. Thanks for the chapter desu~

At first, I thought it was Tamaki, but then I thought “What’s the point” and then remembered that spirit road girl from PRG.

Ginebia seems to be quite stubborn in her inability to handle losses and people more skilled than her well. Quite the hypocrite, I must say.

  14. So to say decrepits that don’t understand the youngster, ok. It’s surprising that Hazel is a harem protagonist, that’s mean that Toa is a memeber of his harem? She didn’t seemed like that though.

  15. Question about naming:
I’ve been re-reading old chapters, and isn’t Ginebia also the name of one of Tomoki’s harem? The knight who got Grount’s blessing?

Do they have the same katakana in the raws?

  16. So Apfel is looking to maintain balance in the world… so they won’t let Makoto know about the lightning

    1. Knowing it or not won t make any difference anyway. Someone who can t instantly defeat some adventurers had no chance vs makoto tbf.

    2. Its bcoz alphine should be dead now(w/o their interference) and dead people cant send report back to tsige. Thats why they are forbidden to report

    3. It’s not that they have to maintain balance, but rather that their vow to not leave a trace in history means that they can’t allow their actions to affect the outcome of battles.

In this case, it would have been fine if Alpine had managed to escape from the apostle by themselves to deliver this crucial information about the Apostle to Kuzunoha. But since Bia had to intervene in the fight, any information they now bring back home would be because of her influence, which would go against her vow.

That’s why she tries to put them back on their original path of visiting their homelands, as if she had never intervened.

  17. Its not like it would make a huge difference if makoto knew about the lightining, he’s already so much more powerful that he can just brute force it and thats it, also the apostle is weak enough to be unable to kill Toa’s party so meh

    1. Yeah, Raidou’s pretty much relies on brute Force for anything. Quick enemy? Magic armor. Hard hitting enemy? More magic armor. Tough enemy? Bow and bridd. Quick enemy? More Bow and bridd.

        1. I’m hoping Mio’s ability will surface soon like the self healing. Tomoe’s memory reading ability already started to surface too (like when he was attacked by the assassins).
Probably… even though he’s not immortal, he may live a very long time because of it. It may solve one of Tomoe’s fears of him having a short lifespan. Here’s to hoping

        2. What if he makes a Magic Armor out of that element? Remember, he could use a “light” element as well. It has just, NEVER been mentioned since then, and by then I mean back when he was interested in magic, before becoming a teacher and all that

  18. Ugh seams she still has a grudge against Makoto knowing his main power is magic I think she hopes in part the apostle will defeat him so nothing will change but she’s being niave.

    1. While some grudge may remain, it is as she said. They have decided to not alter the world too much. So, even if tsige were to be destroyed, they would let them be. They probably also know Raidou’s deal with the Bug or decided that indirectly giving information (by letting adventurers she saved bring back the information) is too much influence to the world. In any case, Kuzunoha is the real defense, despite Rembrandt said that they will win the war without kuzunoha’s power.

    2. I think she was saying everyone would have died if she didn’t save them so if they went back to Tsige it would have been a big change in history

  19. Ginebia said that they, the adventurers of origin did not want to interface in Tsige as they did not want to interface with the world yet in Lorel, Rokuya even split into 80000 to decimate an army. Perhaps some of them just hope that someone can stop makoto because even they cannot contain him in their advantageous base.

    1. In case of lorel was bit different, they somehow act to repay a Gratitude toward the country who put a system to accept every otherworld who isn’t hero

    1. Their immortality isnt tied to roots life. Immortality isnt that special in this world, futsu even giving away golden apples(immortality effect) to makoto to sell

  20. Adventurers of origin piss me off… I want Makoto to teach them a definitive lesson… But that p*ssy is a massive pushover…

  21. This is the first time I’m commenting here. It’s just, the members of Apple are annoying me since their appearance. They either act almighty yet haven’t done anything significant. That Rokuya dude acts like he accomplished something by being open to sexual topics like dude even if Makoto ain’t active or was hesitating it ain’t your business. You think bragging about something like that boosts ego then you’re just some horny punk.
